About the Network
Let's be honest, most of us prefer to use local trades and services ourselves and our readers are no exception. The Network Magazine has a proven track record and has been established since 2004. As well as advertising there are articles, business profiles, puzzles, competitions and community information.
Our reader feedback tells us that because of the size, content, professional look and feel of the Network it is an invaluable resource for local trades and services. The majority of the households we deliver to, keep the Network until the new issue comes out, because it is a handy references for local trades and businesses.
As a customer of the Network Magazine you will notice a big difference from other advertising media - we offer a personal service and high quality artwork (free of charge). Unlike any other advertising media, we publish our exact delivery routes and promise to deliver on time and every time. All this from just 1 pence per household.
Categories Explained
The Network Magazine has a policy of letting a maximum of three advertisers in their primary categories this is to ensure that enquiries are not diluted.
It is fair to say that for larger jobs households will look to get three quotes from reputable local businesses and therefore the Network will be the ideal place for them to look. Other categories have a maximum of two per trade of profession while for certain more specialist industries the market is such that only one can be justified.
It is also important to note that not many businesses have only one string to their bow and many offer other services so therefore in these cases businesses are only listed under their 'Primary' business heading. This process is more of an art than a science and there are many grey areas, we will always strive to make everybody happy however, sometimes this is not always possible and the final decision lies with the editor.
We could easily take a lot more bookings if we did not have these category restrictions in place but our aim is for long-term success of all our advertisers and not short-term gain for ourselves.

Editorial Features
Along with a varied selection of quality trades and businesses we also provide some editorial features. We find this kind of information is vital and one of the main reasons why so many of our readers keep a copy of the Network as a reference guide.
What's On Guide
We support local clubs, associations, theatre groups, musical groups, churches, charities and pubs by offering free advertising in our informative guide to local events.
Cash Prize Quiz & Crossword
We like to test the wits of our readers every month with a Cash Prize Quiz worth £50. This is a very popular feature and we receive many entries every month.
We also have a Crossword Puzzle which is often sponsored by local businesses.
Business Focus On
Each month we run an article on a featured business. This feature is free to any advertiser who places a full page advertisement. However as we only have one ŒFocus on¹ feature per month, per magazine it is important to book your slot early to take advantage of this feature.
Clubs & Associations Profile
We like to give something back to the
non-profit making clubs & associations in the local area by offering one Club or Association a free-page advert every month. This has proved very helpful to the local Clubs & Associations to gain new members and awareness in the community.
Editorial Articles
Every month we publish a double-page spread on a wide range of varied topics. This is sometimes sponsored by an advertiser who wants to educate the local public on their specialised field.
The Network Magazine is produced from both TCF (Totally Chlorine Free) and ECF (Elemental Chlorine Free)
pulps, using sustainable forests to meet these requirements.
